User Friendly Buying Process
Free Consultation & QuoteAt the customer's
request we would be happy to have an
experienced professional from Safe N Sound come
to your home or business for a free
consultation and design the best system for
your application and budget.
The first part is the design stage and is the
blue print for how the entire system operates;
it should work in harmony with your routine. We
come into your home or business and help you
custom design the best security system for you
and your life style. Security systems should
never be a “one size fits all”.
Our
consultation takes in every possible aspect of
how your security system will work with you
including: Vulnerable Areas, Lifestyle, Pets,
Children, Travel Habits, size and location of
the home or business, budget, contents of the
home or business.
We also look at the lighting, locks, and other
things that could cause your property and you to
be a potential target.
We also will work
with any local agencies or insurance companies
to be sure we are meeting any particular
requirements. We will never use high pressure
sales techniques, over-selling, or dishonesty to
get your business.
After completing the
consultation we will give you a written quote
with a detailed layout of your security systems.
After a decision has
been made we will promptly schedule your
installation with a knowledgeable installer. The
average wait time for an installed system is a
week.
Installation
After agreeing on the best designed system for
your budget, we schedule an installation date
with a skilled technician. Our systems will be
installed in a neat and very professional
manner. We do not show any wires. When
necessary, we will use a combination of
hardwired and wireless devices depending on the
application. Your system is programmed to
perform a weekly communication test to the
central station. We receive a report each day
letting us know if the systems have passed or
failed the test. If you fail the test we notify
you. **This is very important because it tells
us whether your system is communicating properly
with the central station. **We challenge you to
find another company willing to do this, at our
current rates!!!
Manufacturer’s recommend, communications of the
systems should be tested weekly. By testing your
system weekly, we can usually find out if
there’s a problem before its too late. It’s
always better to find out your system is not
working properly before you actually need it.
Training & Quality Assurance
Upon
completion of the system you will be instructed
on how to operate your new system and what to do
if you accidentally set off your alarm system.
You are thoroughly trained on how to properly
operate your system, in case of emergency or
just a simple test. You receive signs and
stickers to display outside of your property.
This is another key factor to reducing your
chances of becoming a target.
Monitoring Service
Safe-N-Sounds Central Station must meet certain
requirements.
The first and most expensive certificate for any
central station is a certificate from
Underwriter’s Laboratory. They require the
central station to have certain features,
policies, and redundancy in everything including
power, phones, and employees. They also must
have a procedure on how central station would
get back up and running in case of a natural
disaster in a one hour time frame.
UL only regulates the building they do not
regulate who works in them. This is important
because who is able to work in the alarm
industry is regulated by the individual state
where they are located. It is not regulated
federally. Each state has different requirements
in order to sell, install, service, or work in a
central station. There are 11 states that do not
have any requirements to work in the alarm
industry. Anyone can work in the industry
including someone that may have a prior history
of arrest and/or convictions. Having access to
your personal information including address and
passwords could be a potential victim. This is
why it is important to know where your central
station is located and what the laws are in that
state.
Our central station is located in NC.
NC has some great requirements for people
wanting to work in the alarm industry. Here is
what they require for a person to be able to
operate a licensed alarm company:
2 years experience in the alarm industry in a
management position
A SBI investigation
Fingerprints on file
Background check every two years
A low voltage electrical license
Continuous education
Another thing that makes a good central station
is an IQ Certification. The standards for this
certification are set by the National Burglar
and Fire Alarm Association. Their goal is to
reduce false alarms by following certain
procedures. There is one procedure alone that
could reduce your false alarms by 40%. It is
good practice to have the local authorities only
come when you need them otherwise you create a
problem with calling wolf and when you really
need them they may not respond as
quickly. Some counties or towns charge fines for
false alarms.
Service &
Maintenance
The final
part of the four main things we do at Safe N
Sound is the service. When you have a problem
with your system we will be there for you. Have
you ever tried to reach a large company on the
holidays or weekends? It can be pretty
frustrating. At Safe N Sound we can always be
reached within a matter of hours. We personally
try to take each call immediately but if we are
not reached immediately we will always return
your call within a matter of a couple of hours.
We will also
try to help you with over the phone technical
support to help eliminate the need for an
expensive and sometime unnecessary service call.
If we do need
to send a technician to your home or business we
will usually provide you with same day or next
day service depending on the severability of the
problem.
Our
philosophy at Safe N Sound is that we want to
WOW you. We want you to say WOW that was
everything I expected and more. We want you to
say, WOW I want to recommend this company to all
my friends and family because I feel like my
home or business is protected so well and it
also appears to be a much harder target. I
really believe someone would be a fool if they
tried to break in.
We want you
to also feel like you were treated like family
and that you know you can always count on us to
be there when you need us. We really know by
educating that you are more knowledgeable on how
to better protect your family and property.
We want you to know even if
you already have a system installed in your home
or business we can most likely takeover that
system without changing any of your equipment
and provide you with the same peace of mind.
Testimonials
Our customer
satisfaction level speaks for our integrity and
professionalism. Below are a few stories and
testimonials from some of our customers.
A Letter From
A Happy Customer
"This is a story about
Safe n Sound and Cyndee Ferlin and how their
customer service puts them miles ahead of the
competition.
Unfortunately, we had
a number of break-ins in our neighborhood and the MO
of these break-ins is late morning, 10:00 to 11:00.
The burglars would pull in the driveway of a home
that looked like nobody was there, no cars in the
driveway, and they would go up to the front door and
they would look through the window, knock, and wait
briefly. If no one responded, they would just kick
down the front door and quickly grab whatever they
could, and then leave.
Cyndee took the
initiative to proactively change the monitoring
protocol without us calling her. If there is an
alarm on the front door they will now immediately
dispatch the police, and not go through the call
list first. This would get the police to the
property sooner to minimize loss and to have a
better chance to catch the criminals. Cyndee called
me on the phone and told me that she took it upon
herself to do this.
I was very impressed
that she would be in touch with what was going on in
our neighborhood to change the operations or the
procedures for the monitoring to do a better job of
stopping these burglars and more importantly, to
minimize the loss at my house. This is the type of
customer service we all expect, but rarely get from
companies.
I used a large
security company before Safe N Sound and I never got
that kind of customer service and it just shows how
a local security company really cares about you as
an individual and certainly as a customer. I would
highly recommend Cyndee Ferlin and Safe N Sound
because she truly does go above and beyond and I
would recommend her and her company to both
residential home owners and commercial business
owners."
Sincerely,
Patrick Heidrich

Freezer Melt Down
The Problem ...
Julie's
Catering Factory prepares 100,000 sandwiches per
week. Many of these sandwiches are pre-made for
delivery the following morning. A freezer went out
and Julie lost untold amounts of money in bad food.
Safe N Sound had a solution.
The Solution...
Safe N Sound
suggested an alarm system that incorporates sensors
in the freezer which would alert the central
monitoring station if the temperature were to reach
a near-unacceptable level. Julie likes the idea and
decides to go with it.
The Success...
Within that
week, Safe N Sound installed the new alarm system
and Julie could now sleep better knowing that
someone would be watching the temperature in her
freezer 24 hours per day! Also, since then...the
freezer had gone out again but Julie was notified
and was able to move the food to a different
location until the freezer was repaired.
"The
service I received from Cyndee was great and the
installation was a very clean and friendly process.
We were amazed that this type of coverage was
available for our freezers. I highly recommend Safe
N Sound." - Julie
